Rocky Flats, just outside of Denver is a Superfund site. For years, they made Plutonium Triggers for Nuclear weapons. This was during the Insane Cold War, and absolute secrecy ruled the day. Most workers did not know what others were doing, or what specifically they were all making. These people, and their families were exposed to high levels of radioactivity for years. The leukemia and cancer clusters unfolded over time, but it was the elephant in the room, that no one talked about.
